a fun night's gig...

... tonight, opening for Modest Mouse at the historic Fillmore in San Francisco. It was a private show, and we were doing an acoustic set, but it seemed to go over very well- and was a blast singin' and playin' for that many people again. Our 'traditional acoustic jam' stools lasted exactly two songs, before we kicked 'em and got hoppin' around. If I get some pictures from folks (saw quite a few people I knew in the audience w/cameras, but my wife couldn't make it to shoot us specifically), I'll chain-post 'em here. I'm pretty sure there may even be a HD recording of our set, which would be awesome.

Re: Modest Mouse, they're definitely an original band and I digged their set a lot- but I feel I'd like 'em more if I heard more of their albums (of which I've heard there's a few). They're a good live band, but I sense there's more layers in the wax.
