me, the former rockstar
posting this to my 'blog so I can swap the link on my site and avoid the pop-up window. Dom asked me to 'blog this a while back, and since I've been playing in public a bit more these days I figured I should resurrect it for a good laugh. people who didn't know me back then seem pretty surprised that I had another life before the web flourished. ;-)
as noted in the flickr post, this pic was taken by sacramento photographer/tattoo artist Wild Bill in '93 while opening for old-time rockers Foghat (I always thought it was at a .38 Special gig, but I was recently set straight by an old friend on that account- oops!). can't remember the name of the club, though- sorry!

heh- well, I certainly don't consider myself one now by any stretch, but depending on your definition of the word I suppose it's possible... ;-)
